CREATIVE APERTURES PHOTOGRAPHY » Award Winning Wedding Photography by Alex James

It’s such a pleasure to feature the wedding of Andrew and Heather on the blog. They were married way back when the sun was a normal feature in the skies above Wales.

All these rainy days have made it feel like a long time ago. Wedding photography at Llangoed Hall is such a pleasure and you can see why. Such a beautiful setting in the heart of Wales with majestic buildings and stunning grounds.

Its no wonder that Laura Ashley And her widower Sir Bernard Ashley loved the place.

Congratulations to a wonderful couple.

Enjoy!

It’s always hard to say goodbye. I’ve never been a fan of New Year’s Eve and always find that time of year; I’m more retrospective, than forward thinking.

Looking back 2015 has been a wonderful year for so many reasons. Personally I’ve learned so much and enjoyed a few new experiences along the way.

As is the same every wedding season, I end the year with lots of wonderful memories and great new friendships that just are not possible, in other professions. I’ve widened out more in my professional circle too, I’ve met and been inspired by, a whole bunch of new creative people, who are supportive and encouraging, which can only mean good things for that push to improve.

As always, I’d like to thank my couples for investing their trust in me to document their special day. It’s always wonderful and very intimate, to be in and around people so closely on this very emotional of days in their lives. I always take it as a compliment to my person, rather than my work, when people choose me to capture their wedding story.

A huge thanks must also go to all the great and talented people I’ve worked with this year, from the venues and co-ordinators, to videographers, car companies, makeup artists, florists , musicians and many more, It’s been great to work with you all.

So to conclude here are a few random frames from my year, not the best of, not my favourites but a cross-section of the fun, emotional and arty stuff that was photographed throughout the year.

Let’s hope 2016 is more of the same.

Recently I was invited by good friend and Principle Enzoani event Photographer Rob Jones, to document the official 2016 Launch of the Enzoani Bridal range at the Birmingham Council House.
Im used to photographing beautiful wedding dresses in my day job as a wedding photographer in Wales and I can honestly say this range is spectacular.

I would encourage any would be bride to check out the stunning range at one of the few Uk stockists.

The hard work and dedication that went into organising such a great event was clearly evident, right from the back stage staff down to the models, front of house, lighting and media teams and of course Genius designer Kang-Chun Lin on hand to make sure his designs went out perfectly.

It was great to be work with so many talented people and I would like to say a big thank you to:

Mark & Jeanette Stevens – Enzoani
Tracie Williams – Enzoani
Kang-Chun Lin – Enzoani
Rob Jones – Purecreations Photography
Brett Florens – Brett Florens Photography
Alex Bradbury – Alex Bradbury Photography
Steve Ratcliffe – Steve Ratcliffe Films

I hope you enjoy looking at some the photographs of the event and dont forget to also check out the little video at the bottom produced by the gifted Steve Ratciffe Films.
